Employers Could Face Hefty Fines For Smoking Company Car Drivers

Company cars and drivers place massive obligations on employers.

And now employers could risk huge fines up to £10,000 for the behaviour of their drivers, and the passengers.
A recent article in the national newspapers revealed that car drivers and owners, which would be the employer in the case of company cars, and their passengers could all face fines for smoking in cars carrying children.
In an attempt to reduce health risks to children, the new laws within the UK make it illegal to smoke in cars carrying passengers under the age of 18.
If a passengers is smoking the maximum fine is £800 whereas for the driver or owner it could be as high as £10,000.
