DFC Environmental Policy

We may enjoy the look, the performance and of course the comfort our vehicles give us, but we also need to be aware of the impact that we are having on our environment.  DFC is committed to supporting the environment and our community on both a local and national level.
 
We are committed to minimizing the environmental impacts of our business operations, so we will:
  • Provide information to our customers on selecting vehicles with low CO2 emissions
  • Include RoSPA driver training with our contracts to promote eco-safe driving
  • Comply with environmental regulations
  • Support our customers during their contracts to help them manage vehicle servicing and keep their vehicles more CO2 efficient
  • Promote fuel saving and eco-safe driving styles to our customers and their drivers
As a business we will also commit to:
  • Reduce our consumption of resources and improve efficiency in the use of these resources.
  • Manage waste generated from our business operations according to the guidelines on how to reuse and recycle.
  • Manage our operations to prevent pollution.
  • Ensure that suppliers of good and services take environmental criteria into account when dealing with DFC and its customers and staff.
  • Comply with all relevant environmental legislation
To suppprt our commitment to these objectives, we will:
  • Create Board level promotion of environmental policies and performance within the business, and allocate resources for their implementation.
  • Agree and monitor the key objectives of our environmental activity.
  • Communicate our environmental policy both internally and externally.
  • Communicate the importance of the environmental issues to our staff and external teams.
  • Work with our suppliers and external team members to encourage their commitment towards environmental considerations.
  • Encourage appropriate consideration of environmental issues in the vehicle options we provide to our customers.
  • Review our environmental policy regularly.
This policy represents our general position on supporting environmental issues within our business.
